Center Director
Tamara Weitzel
As a lifelong learner and proponent for STEAM education, Tam encourages all children to explore their STEAM curiosities in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. She holds a master’s in management and Leadership from Western Governors University and is working on her second master’s for the MEd Instructional Design program. Tam received her BS in Sociology with a minor in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University where she was one of the first 1,000 graduates under the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. As an openly autistic with ADHD person, Tam helped research, design, and deliver Code Ninjas Neurodivergent Learners Training to help 450+ centers be more inclusive, accepting, and supportive for neurodivergent children. During the week, you can find Tam managing our center operations and leading our amazing Senseis, supporting Ninjas in their endeavors, or talking about all things Minecraft to anyone who will listen. When not in the center, she’s out and about in Temecula where she lives with her husband, 2 children and 7lb Chorkie dog, named Chucky. Her favorite activities include getting Thai iced teas with her kids, hiking with her husband, diamond painting to Dorian style piano, and consistently telling their dog that he is the best, most handsome good boy ever.
